Composition: Brass with Buna Rubber (Nitryl) Seal
Level Gauge Thread: 1/2" BSP = -G08 | 1/2" x 12mm Pipe
Drain Cock Thread: 1/4” BSP = -G04
Application: Diesel Fuel Tanks on Boats, Oil and Water tanks.
These Valves Open and Close with a spring loaded push pull button. This prevents liquid from escaping in case of breakage.
These Push Button Level Gauge Valves are used with our LG-LG-TUBE – Clear Polycarbonate Tubing (12x9mm). Typically 2x Push Button Level Gauge Valves are needed with 1x Tube setup. Alternatively a Push Button is used at the bottom and the LG-COCK-TURN-08 (Level Gauge Valve with Handwheel) is used at the top for setup. These setups are typically fitted on the side of the tank. The fluid level in the tube is indicated when the Push Button Level Gauge is pushed.
In South Africa it is compulsory for a Push Button Level Gauge to be used (as per SAMSA) on all commercial vessels diesel and oil tank applications, unfortunately the Handwheel is not accepted.
Note, these valves can also be used with Glass Tubing, especially for hot liquid applications. We do not stock Glass Tubing but can source if needed.
